WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE!!!

I've been waiting for this film since I was 5 years old! So excited! It looks absolutely brilliant. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Listen: Bomb the Bass

Just got "Future Chaos". Pretty Dope. Check them out at bombthebass.com or on their Myspace. Last but not least, check out their nothing-short-of-awesome video for "Butterfingers".

Felix's Machine

For those of you who have been on Youtube recently, you might have already stumbled upon this. Felix Thorn is the mastermind behind this frankenstein. The song is called 'Glide'.

Enjoy.

Scintillation

So beautiful. I have Kanye's blog to thank for this. For all you impatient people, it gets really good about a minute into it. Watch it in full screen.

Fever Ray - When I Grow Up

I saw this video on Electric Forest (Thank you very much, Yukimi) and fell in love. I can't stop watching it. There's something so incredibly enchanting about the way she looks and moves (and the song, too). Like some sort of forest-dwelling mystic that showed up in your backyard to bring your pool to life. She also kind of reminds me of Princess Mononoke for some reason. Enjoy.

Hunger

Listen: J*Davey

Miss Jack Davey + Brook D'Leau = J*Davey. Got their double EP around Christmas time. Can't put it down. Definitely a purchase-worthy record. Check it out on iTunes. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they should be releasing a new album in the next little while, so keep an eye out. Also, go add them on Myspace or Facebook and tell them how much you love them.

New WeSC Spring 09

OK, so now that I've picked my bone with WeSC about my dreamphones, I can say that I'm really liking some of what I'm seeing from their Spring 09 line. Good stuff. There's a good bit of it to be had at Karmaloop. Go have a look.

Dubstep.fm = Busted Headphones

I don't think I'm actually able to listen to Dubstep without turning it waaaaaaay the hell up to eardrum-shattering proportions. Dubstep.fm has provided the soundtrack for quite a few of my long sleepless nights. So go and grab your headphones and get on that Dubstep.fm tip. :-)

So WeSC, what's the deal???

OK, so I've been waiting for these to be officially released for about... forever. They were originally due this past October; never came. Then they said "end of November". End of November rolls around and I'm in Paris, and they just so happen to have a WeSC shop there. So I get all excited about finally getting to check them out in person and see if they're as amazing as they look. I find my way there and try to figure out how to inquire about them en français, only to find out that the guy working there (like most parisians) spoke pretty good english. To my dismay, he tells me that they have yet again been delayed until January. Merde! Well as you can guess, January comes and they drive the knife in deeper by saying "end of Febuary". Now here at the start of March, there is still no sign of these lovely noise distributors, and to add insult to injury, they no longer show up on WeSC's site. So one is left to wonder, what the hell happened?! WHERE ARE THEY?!?!?! Anyone know?

Bed time.

Listen: Azeda Booth

I first heard about Azeda Booth during the first Radiohead Remix Contest. They did an unbelievably dope remix of 'Nude'. From there I added them on Myspace and I've been keeping a (somewhat drifting) eye on them ever since. Well today, said eye stumbled upon their new (FREE!) EP (and I'm never one to say no to free things), so I proceeded to download and listen to it, and I'm very impressed. I wont make any lame attempt to describe their sound, but I will say that if you're into any sort of laid back indie/electronic/alternative type music, this should be your cup of tea. At any rate, there's definitely no reason not to download it and give it a listen. After all, it is free. Get your copy here while supplies last. Also, check out their full length on iTunes.

New Creative Recs. Spring 09 Bitch.

Went over to La Porte Rouge avec Derek tonight. He told me about his stay in Williamsburg. He's so cool. But I'm home now, and just like every other guy in the world, after a few pints, my mind gets fixed on one thing and one thing only: Shoes (what did you expect?). Creative Recreation has their new spring 09 line out. It's a pretty nice batch. The pairs above are just a few of the pairs I like, but there's plenty more to be had if you go over here.

And so it begins...

Ahhh, the ever-so-infamous first post. There goes my blogging virginity. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time now and today, I've finally taken the plunge! So stay tuned. This blog will cover... well... pretty much anything I want it to. Haha, but I'm sure you'll still enjoy it at least a little bit. I'll try to keep it interesting. In the mean time, here's a link to my music page. Come give it a listen if you like.
